Jailer is a software tool built in Java and especially designed for programmers, that allows two main things:


* Extract small collections of lines (consistents, conserving its references in tact) from a database and importing that data to your development setting or to the software you´re using to program.

* Delete and file obsolete data from your database. In other words free up space used by useless entries.



The program can delete obsolete data without violating the integrity of the database. Jailer is highly configurable, and can generate a topologically ordered SQL-DML. As if that weren´t enough, it is an open code project, which means that not only is it free but you can freely modify the source code.



NOTE: As it is developed using Java, to use Jailer correctly you need to install Java Runtime Environment 5 or superior.
